I spent nearly two decades as a BCG Partner — ultimately leading the Worldwide Digital practice and the Technology, Media & Telecommunications practice in DACH. Then I decided that advising companies on digital transformation and actually building transformative systems require fundamentally different skills.
So I learned to code. Built companies. Won hackathons.
The Pattern
2014 — After the Sutskever/Hinton breakthrough on ImageNet, I went deep on machine learning. Took classes at ETH Zürich, built theoretical computer science foundations, competed in ML challenges. Founded ML Insights to bring advanced analytics to industrial operations.
2016 — Founded LoyaltyCoin AG in Zug — one of Switzerland’s early blockchain ventures. The retail scaling thesis didn’t hold, but the conviction in programmable value did.
2025–26 — Entered six ETHGlobal hackathons. Won multiple prizes building x402 payment infrastructure, ZK-powered DeFi, and agent commerce protocols. Reckon402, NanoCrawl, Pay402, Detox-Hook, zkFusion — each a working prototype at the intersection of AI agents and blockchain rails.
Three waves. Each time years ahead of mainstream adoption. Not trend-following — pattern recognition followed by building.
What I Bring
Business Architecture — Kellogg MBA (#1 ranked at the time). 8 years as BCG Partner. Board of Directors at Mikron (2016–present) and Meyer Burger (2017–2020). I understand governance, corporate incentives, and how to move large organizations.
Deep Technical Execution — Mathematics and Physics (Universität Stuttgart), Engineering (CentraleSupélec Paris). Current stack: Solidity, ZK-SNARKs (Circom, Noir), Rust, Python/PyTorch, MCP, TypeScript. I prototype what others only pitch.
Founder DNA — The Boom GmbH (SaaS/construction, sold to co-founder). LoyaltyCoin AG. ML Insights AG (running 11+ years). Active angel investor in deep-tech startups (Ninox, AppNavi, KIVU, Refined Laser, Fija Finance).
How I Work
I’m not a large consultancy. I work lean — with a network of domain-specific collaborators on engagements. The combination of boardroom credibility and hands-on prototyping capability is rare. That’s the point.
If you’re building at the intersection of AI, blockchain, and the emerging API economy — or trying to understand what it means for your business — let’s talk.
